Dish-Based CPV-T for Rooftop Generation

REhnu is working with the University of Arizona to build and test a single mirror M-1 system, optimized for supplying industrial or commercial buildings with electricity and heat. The dual-axis tracker is designed for close packing. For Tucson insolation averaged over a year, a close-packed array will provide 40% to 80% more electricity than is possible with the best silicon PV panels entirely covering the same roof area. When heat is also utilized in the building, the total energy yield from the same roof area is doubled.
